The University of Saskatchewan’s main campus sits on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis. We recognize as guests on this land that we are connected to each other by the winds who give air to all beings, through the waters moving across, beneath, and to the Earth, and into the sky.

We acknowledge that the ground beneath our feet has always been the home of Indigenous Peoples.

University of Saskatchewan’s Land Acknowledgement

As we gather here today, we acknowledge we are on Treaty 6 Territory and the Homeland of the Métis. We pay our respect to the First Nations and Métis ancestors of this place and reaffirm our relationship with one another.
