Every minute spent in production planning will be returned to you in multiples as you move into subsequent phases of production. Not only is pre-production planning an exercise in efficiency, but quality as well. - Crafting the Synopsis: This initial step sets the tone for the entire project. It outlines the project’s purpose, target audience, desired outcomes and distribution strategies. This should clearly define your core message.
- Treatments: The treatment will expand on the synopsis and defines how elements such as narration, stock footage, interviews, graphics and photos, will be used to tell the story.
- Script Writing: A well-structured script ensures clarity, consistency, and effective storytelling. It is the guide that everyone will follow to work towards the same goal.
- Storyboards: A visual representation of the film the storyboard gives your cast and crew shot details that keep everybody seeing the same vision.
- Location Scouting: Choosing the right locations enhances the visual appeal and aligns with the narrative, but also ensures simplified logistics and controlled shooting conditions.
- Equipment Management: Assembling the right set of equipment for your production needs.
