DIY Studio Facilities

USask Media Production operates and maintains two unique DIY Media Production Studio spaces within the College of Education Building. The UCreate Studio and the Lightboard Studio are available for USask faculty and staff to book free of charge. These dedicated media recording spaces provide access to professional quality lighting, sound and video equipment and will enhance your video project and help provide you with a professional looking and sounding media asset.

UCreate Studio

This DIY Recording Studio is a dedicated video capture room where instructors can easily record professional looking lectures and presentations with easy and leave with a finished video file on their USB drive. The U-Create offers a simple way to create academic presentations, video communications or record interviews with minimal support needed. Free for USask faculty and staff members.

Lightboard Studio

A lightboard or learning glass is a device for creating interactive videos for teaching and learning. It is a glass panel with LED lights that can be written on with markers. The instructor faces the camera and writes on the glass, and the image is flipped for the viewers. It helps the instructor communicate effectively and illustrate complex concepts visually. It can be used for various subjects that involve technical or graphical content . Free for USask faculty and staff members.
