The professionals at Media Production host hands-on workshops that cover everything from lighting and audio best practices to interview techniques and use of our DIY production facilities. We also offer media consultation to help you plan, budget and produce your own media projects.

Workshops

DIY Media Studios

Gather up a group of colleagues and get a hands-on look at both the UCreate and Lightboard Studios. Learn what’s possible in these dedicated media recording facilities and gain the skills you need to book time in these studios with confidence. Our skilled technicians will walk you through the use of these facilities and teach you the tips, tricks and pitfalls you need to know for a successful session.

Basic Video Production Skills

Put a crew together and work with our professional Media Production technicians to learn best practices in camera composition, lighting techniques, and audio recording to improve your overall video production skills. Learn the tips and tricks that will make your productions look and sound great.

Intro to Interviews

Participants of this workshop will not only learn some technical skills for lighting, composing, and recording great audio and video in an interview set-up, but you’ll also learn how to write effective interview questions and how to engage your subject and get the clear and concise responses that make an interview great.

Integrating media rich assessments into your course is a great way to help students develop the digital competencies they’ll need in today’s changing world. Media Production can teach your students the skills they need to produce quality media rich assets for use in assessments, portfolios, and student activities here at USask and beyond.
