Posts (Blogging) vs. Pages

In WordPress sites, posts and pages are two distinct content types that serve different purposes.
  • Posts are dynamic and are typically used for blog entries, news articles, and other time-sensitive content; they’re displayed in reverse chronological order on your blog page. Posts can optionally encourage interaction through comments and be organized with categories and tags.
  • Pages are typically static and used for content that doesn’t change frequently, such as ‘About Us’, ‘Contact’, or ‘Services’ pages. For educational WordPress sites, Pages often focus on specific topics or communicate key concepts within learning modules. Pages can be hierarchical and don’t have comments or feeds.
