Worldviews and Positionality
Developing an understanding of who you are and the influences of life at this point plays an important role in crafting land acknowledgement. Recognition of how Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples have experienced a dual history will be needed to thoughtfully reflect on land and the original inhabitants.
Our positions as human beings in connection to the land will be examined from an Indigenous and non-Indigenous lens. Understanding this position and the relationship between land and humans is important in drafting a personal land acknowledgement.
